Terrorism – Boon for the religion shops

Once again, the Varanasi (aka. Banaras) bomb blasts have proved, beyond doubt that the bloodshed in the name of religion has no end in sight; rather it’s on a rapid rise! As a fact of the matter, this seems to be a matter of rejoice for both, the Hindu & the Muslim fundamentalists, which is very well proved by all the terrorist attacks on the religious places across India.

Looking beyond the country, Al-Qaida never attacked any church in the Americas or London… The WTC and Pentagon were only commercial and govt. buildings. In fact we get to hear, on very rare occasions, of any attack on the religious places in the west. Ever wondered why? Simply, because it’s not that easy to provoke the people of those countries, by attacking mere places of worship. How many people do you find, to kill, in those places anyway? And do you think people of the west would start collecting money to save Christianity, if Osama attacked one of the biggest churches of the US tomorrow?

Well, people of India would most likely do. Here the business of religion runs successful, mainly because the places like Ayodhya, Akshardham, Babri Mosque, Sankatmochan Temple, Amarnath, Golden Temple, etc. are now fast becoming spots of terror.

Take the current example… Now at Banaras, the shopkeepers of the allah are collecting huge money in the name of Islam. Similarly, the Hindu salesmen are busy filling up their huge piggy banks for the sake of saving the religion. I wonder who’d save the religious from the teeth of religion.

Ironically, these religious taxes are not forced on anyone; the pressure is so skillfully built up on them, that whether or not they save, steal, or pay the govt. taxes, the religious taxes are, nevertheless, paid personally, standing in long queues for hours altogether.

The most common questions that are never answered here are:

  • The one who’s said to be the savior of all, how come people so frequently die without any reason, on his corridors?
  • The one who’s claimed to be the ultimate power; (but still people spend millions just for his security) why do they die in huge numbers right at his place?

I simply can’t understand…

We all know, people have been provoked for centuries in the name of religion. Not only money, property, even life has been demanded from the devotees. We can only be amazed at the success of those religious missionaries, who manage to get away with all this without ever getting any questions raised, and even after the disasters like the Banaras blasts, instead of their feeble gods, people still blame the weaknesses of the govt., which is busy saving its own thrones.

So quite obviously, the biggest reasoning for the inability to stop the religious bloodshed can be: because, it actually gives a major boost to the business of the shopkeepers of both the religions.

Then why’d they ever want the innocent killings to stop?
